In the Summer of 2025, I was picked to be an event photographer for The Durag Festival in Charlotte, North Carolina. Durag Festival is an annual cultural celebration that highlights Black creativity, fashion, and identity through music, art, and community expression. As an event photographer, my job was to capture candid photos of people that participated in the festival as well as the music performances. The photos the I captured were later featured on The Duragfest’s Instagram.
